Girls With Abs Lift Like Guys With Abs

By Dan Solaris

The younger members of society won't remember, but there was a time when working-out for women was almost taboo- a time where aerobics classes and female fitness buffs were virtually unheard of.

Tastes and standards have changed with the times. The image of the voluptuous, busty bombshell with the pouting scarlet lips has been replaced by the toned and tanned surfer chick with cut abs.

Women that are fit with good muscle tone are the epitome of sexiness now. Everywhere you look- on the silver screen, in the fitness infomercials on the boob tube and on beaches everywhere. Swimsuits and six-packs: the perfect combination.

People may think girls with six pack abs go through a gauntlet of intense, excruciating abdominal exercises for several hours each day. Not so. All that active women (and men, for that matter) have to do to is just lose excess body fat to reveal all the ab muscles underneath.

Cardio and muscle-building exercises designed to burn belly fat in women is generally the same as that of men- there's basically no difference (except for the weight lifted of course, as men are generally larger than their counterparts).

When it comes to burning body fat and getting six-pack abs, what goes for men is the same for women. Increasing the body's metabolism through an effective fat-burning exercise program and eating wisely is the way for guys and girls.

The best and least time-consuming way for girls to get abs is to increase their metabolism for optimum fat-burn. This can be done through a combination of cardio and bodybuilding exercises. It's common knowledge that cardio exercises are most effective in burning body fat, and developing the muscles puts contours and striations in the abdomen- giving the six pack look.

Doing muscle-building exercises along with cardio workouts can also help in getting you get six pack abs faster by increasing the body's metabolic rate. Muscle tissue has been discovered to expend energy even while inactive. Working on your muscle tone aside from doing fat-busting aerobic exercise will let you burn more calories with lesser effort.
