Setting Up A Bowflex Exercise Program

To get the most money out of your dollar for a piece of workout equipment the Bowflex is amazing. The Bowflex creates resistance using a resistance system that utilizes power rods and cables. With the Bowflex compared to other pieces of equipment you can get a full body workout. You can exercise every body part on the home gym and that is why it is head and shoulders above other pieces of equipment.

Creating a Bowflex exercise program for yourself is the best way to approach using the home gym because there are so many different types of exercises you can do with it. You need to figure out which exercises you like so you will not be wasting time trying to figure out what to do.

Isolation exercises are the first type of exercises you can do with your Bowflex. Essentially isolation exercises focus on a specific muscle group you want to target. All of the resistance will work a single muscle group. Isolation exercises can be performed doing leg extensions, chest flys, shoulder raises, etc...These exercises are great but remember you are only working one part of your body.

When you want to make sure that you are getting more of a full body workout in your Bowflex exercise program, you will find that taking a look at compound exercises is quite important. With these exercises, you are going to be able to stretch the stress across multiple joints all at once. When you want to look into compound exercises, some examples would be the back row, the bench press and the squat. These are all exercises that will give you a workout that will take your whole body into account, but don't dismiss the good that isolation exercises can do as well.
